June activities—Pirates, Festivals, Pools and more


The longer days are bringing both an excitement of the summer ahead and the challenge of getting to bed at a reasonable time on a school night. Add to that the spray park opening last weekend, Colman Pool in a couple weeks and several events coming back this year, like Seafair Pirates Landing at Alki, and the days are definitely getting brighter. 

Here's a glimpse of some things going on this month. I will update weekly with any additional ones I hear about and let me know if you have one to add.

SensaPlay Rentals is hosting free weekly playgroups after
 Fit4MOM West Seattle's Stroller Strides class. No need to attend SS class first, although your first class is always free. Bring your Little Learners (and their older siblings, too) for BIG FUN!

National Trails Day hike in West Duwamish Greenbelt

Guided hike beginning at Puget Ridge Edible Park (18th SW & SW Brandon) and following the water in the Puget Creek Watershed to the Duwamish Waterway, by the Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center. Three miles of gravel and social trails. RSVPs welcomed at wdgtrails@gmail.com.

    Scheduled to open the weekend of June 18 & 19. Then daily starting June 25-Labor Day.
