Yum and Fun—6 Delicious Donut Adventures


Adding a treat stop to any adventure has been a go-to in our family for years and donuts rank right up there with ice cream and gummy worms. So here's one last post before taking a couple weeks off to enjoy the last weeks of summer with my family before school starts.

  • Hours: Thursday / 8am-2pm, Friday-Saturday / 8am-6pm, Sunday / 8am-4pm
  • Good to know: No menu on website currently but lots of info via social media (IG and FB). 
  • Pair with: A trip to the Alaska Junction including a fun mural walk.

Good Day Donuts
9823 15th Ave SW (White Center)
  • Hours: Wednesday-Sunday / 8am-2pm
  • Good to know: Single donuts range from $2-4, 1/2 Dozen $12.00, Dozen $24.00
  • Specials on Wednesday (Blueberry Cake donuts), Thursday and Sunday (Vegan donuts), Friday (Special fritter) and, Saturday (French Crullers & Jelly Donuts).
  • Also offers breakfast, lunch and snacks. Boiled peanuts.
  • Pair with: A trip to play disc golf.

The Original Bakery
9253 45th Ave SW
  • Hours: Wednesday-Sunday / 7:30am-3pm
  • Good to know: Specials on Wednesday (French Cruller, Glazed and Chocolate), Thursday (Buttermilk donuts) and Friday (Applesauce donuts).
  • Pair with: A salmon walk through Fauntleroy Park.

Mini...The Dough Nut

  • Hours: Wednesday-Sunday / 9am-5pm
  • Good to know: Mini-donuts with a whole menu of different toppings to put on top. Served out of a mini building with outdoor tables, including a mini one for kids.
  • Pair with: A day trip to Des Moines.
